This Atlas is a unique tool for understanding the concrete regional, transnational and global issues that national Parliaments have to overcome together in order to increase mutual understanding between countries so they can face shared challenges. Part One presents a variety of individual perspectives from experts and citizens from both Asia and Europe on the common issues aecting the people and Parliaments on both continents. Readers can reflect upon these perspectives when discussing legislation and government action intended to address today’s most pressing issues. Part Two takes a closer look at the developing role, mechanisms and issues affecting Parliaments and interparliamentary associations in Southeast Asia, especially those among AIPA Member States.
